Jury Awards $11.1M for Breach of Electronic Medical Records Software Contract

    On Friday July 27, 2018, a federal jury for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia awarded health care IT company Caradigm USA $11.1 million in a breach of contract dispute involving an electronic medical records (EMR) system.

    The lawsuit between plaintiff Caradigm and defendant PruittHealth began in 2015 when Caradigm claimed “unlawful repudiation of a large, multiyear software agreement” after PruittHealth severed a five-year contract over Caradigm’s alleged inability to perform agreed upon software services.
