Divers Awarded $50 Million in Defective Scuba Computer Lawsuit

    A class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California concerning allegedly defective Suunto Oy scuba diving computers ended in a settlement of $50 million on December 14, 2018.

    The lawsuit began in May 2015, when plaintiffs Ralph Huntzinger and Eric Bush alleged that defendant Suunto’s diving computers malfunctioned as the result of defective software and hardware.
